Graduated from Glendale High School in California. Mechanical Engineer by education, he had his Master Degree from London School of Economics and completed his executive studies at Harvard Business School.
He has worked in cement industry, steel trading, and investment banking before starting to work as a pulp and paper agent in Turkey back in 1981. Since 2000, he is running his own business on forest products trading and agency from United Kingdom.
